Artwork for the Church Boards
Today, we were tasked with creating some artwork for the Church boards. The children really enjoyed making the bird boxes so to continue the woodwork theme, we created wool crosses on a wooden background.
The children began by making a cardboard cross, they had to measure to ensure the cross fit in the centre of their wooden piece. Once they had done this, they had to neatly draw around it before hammering nails into every corner. The children all were very accurate and worked together well to ensure all their nails were exactly where they wanted them. Finally, they tied and wrapped wool around the nails to create the cross shape.
We are looking forward to seeing them displayed in St Michael’s Church.
