Outdoor Learning - Cave Painting
During our outdoor learning session, we became children during the Stone Age. We went exploring the school grounds to find items we could use to paint with, for example: feathers, twigs, leaves, etc and also we hunted for natural resources that would be used to grind down to make natural pigments to make paint. We discussed that during the Stone Age, they wouldn't have lots of colourful paint like we do now, they would have had to make it, from things they found.
Once we had made our own paint, we discussed the colour palettes we had made before working on large sheets of paper under the tables, imagining we were inside a cave.
