May - June 24 Ladybirds

So much to talk and wonder about! The children used magnifying glasses and microscopes to look at the ladybird larvae. "I can see 6 legs, 3 on that side and 3 on the other!" "This one is crawling so fast!" "I think we need to find more aphids for them to eat!"

The children have been fascinated, watching the ladybird larvae grow, then change into pupa then hatch into ladybirds over a few weeks. It was time to release them into our wild flower garden in our outdoor area.
