We welcomed Mr Ducket from British Skateboarding to Shap's new skate park! He coached us in the basics of skateboarding, including what safety equipment is needed and how to put it on. He then showed us some basic moves, some of us even progressed onto using the ramps! We all achieved our Level 1 Skateboarding 'Cruiser' certificate.

It was great to get some real training from an enthusiastic and experienced skateboarder and now we can confidently and safely use our community skate park!
