To compliment our history and geography work on China and the Shang Dynasty, Helvellyn had a China Day! We made miniature terracotta warriors from terracotta clay; drew willow pattern plates (although we have learnt these are a British invention taken over to China); we ate Chinese food; we also made a Chinese lion head and performed a traditional Chinese New Year dance. We also had Luca's mum and school governor, Rib, come in to talk to us about her visits travelling around China.
